August 2011 update:
I’m frequently asked, “When are you going to write a sequel to The Mystery of Things?”
The answer is, well, complicated. I’m writing a serio-comic mystery novel set in Ashland, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. If things turn out as I hope, it will be a sort of “setup” piece to the next volume in The Ashland Grail Cycle.
At least the e-book of The Mystery of Things should be coming out in late 2011.
My main focus now is screenwriting. My son (and writing partner) John and I recently finished a so-called “dark comedy” screenplay (“YARDSTICKS”), which has been placing very high (top ten) in several major screenwriting competitions. And we’re plotting several new original screenplay projects, including a closed-room, three-person psychological thriller, a supernatural/historical thriller, and a caper comedy set in Hollywood.
